WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT
OPERATOR TRAINEE
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee, grade 19. Duties include but are not limited to assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of the plant, will learn to perform lab test; inspections and/or monitoring of pumps, charts, gauges and meters; learn servicing and preventative maintenance of equipment and machines; assists in maintenance of plant and grounds and all other related work as required. Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) and must obtain Wastewater Treatment Operators license within eighteen months after meeting experience requirements. Must posses and maintain a valid KY drivers license and obtain commercial drivers license as a condition of continued employment. Must be able to work irregular shifts and respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours.

MAINTENANCE WORKER I
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of a Water Distribution/Sewer Collection Maintenance I Worker, grade 18. Duties include but are not limited to performing manual work activities in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Will assist in locating lines, making sewer taps, inspection , location and repair of leaks and or breaks in lines, installation and maintenance of fire hydrants, manholes, and various other maintenance duties. Applicant must possess and maintain KY drivers license and obtain commercial license within one year after hire date. Must be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours and participate in the City’s drug and alcohol testing policy.
