CITY OF NICHOLASVILLE
MECHANIC/ELECTRONIC SPECIALIST
The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic/Electronic Specialist, grade 26 for our Fleet Department. Duties include but are not limited to performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed, specialized testing of equipment and road tests; preventive maintenance on all city fleet vehicles and equipment; installs computer docking system in police vehicles; performs electrical trouble shooting and diagnostic testing on emergency response vehicles; prepares and assists in records keeping and other duties as fully described in the job description.
Must have high school diploma or GED supplemented by two (2) years directly related work experience. Graduation from vocational school with mechanical certification and/or specialization is desired, but not required. Must possess and maintain a valid commercial drivers license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours.
