Fire Inspection

Fire inspections are conducted by the State Fire Marshall. The Division of Fire Prevention, Office of State Fire Marshal, enforces various codes to ensure that all public structures, facilities, and regulated vehicles are maintained in such a manner that all occupants and users of these facilities will be protected from fire, explosion, or other similar hazard.

The Nicholasville Fire Department makes site visits to some public buildings, such as nursing homes and schools, for fire response planning. Any dangers that are observed during those visits may be shared with the organization, such as exit doors that are blocked or lights that are not working.
